KEITA MINAKAWA

TRAINER & COACH

Keita Minakawa is a certified personal trainer, strength & conditioning coach and United States Soccer Federation licensed coach. He currently works as a strength coach at LA Sports & Spine, where he works with patients to help improve their quality of movement using the First Principles of Movement. Keita was first introduced to Dr. Craig Liebenson in 2018 through his mentor, Dr. Ryan Chow, whom he met while working for a personal training company in New York City- Dr.

Keita was first introduced to Dr. Craig Liebenson in 2018 through his mentor, Dr. Ryan Chow, whom he met while working for a personal training company in New York City- Dr. Chow has had an immense influence on his career so far by inspiring him to seek out mentoring, continuing education and to spread knowledge to others. 

Following the teachings of Dr. Craig Liebenson, Keita's main goal when working with clients and patients is to ensure that they have a positive experience with movement while increasing their confidence and self-efficacy. He has worked with a wide range of the population from youth to pro-level athletes, and is currently involved with the Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) organization as a lead athletic trainer to provide fitness and mentoring to children in need. His long-term aims are to continue his education, to empower as many people as he can through strength training and movement, and to work as the head manager/strenth & conditioning coach for Liverpool Football Club.
